YOUR UTILITY (MEASURE YOUR WATER)

There are two ways to measure your water:  your water bill and water meter.  Together they can provide you valuable information to help you save money and water.

What Your Bill Can Tell You

Utility Bill Example:

Waterbill Example

§      Water Consumption Graph allows you to compare your water consumption to the last year’s consumption for the month.

Reading Your Meter

§         Calculate your water use:  To find out how much water you have used in any give period, subtract the reading on your last bill from the current meter reading.

§         Meter reading example

January 9th your meter read 9 gallons

February 7th your meter read 14 gallons

In 30 days you consumed 9,000 gallons of water
